Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration is one of the most iconic in world football and sport more widely, and the love for it has ramped up significantly since his return to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.
It has been used widely outside of football, including in volleyball and tennis, and has become popular among fans both in adoration and mockery of the 37-year-old.

Not only that, but it is clearly becoming a celebration that is set to continue well beyond Ronaldo’s playing days, and perhaps even into his son’s time as a professional, should he make it. And he is already practising.
As shown below, 11-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr netted for the Manchester United U12s against Spanish side Girona, and could not help but whip out his father’s famous celebration as he wheeled away in ecstasy.

Ronaldo to rediscover goalscoring form?
Before the turn of the year, everything that Ronaldo touched turned to gold, but that has changed since. Barring a brilliant hat-trick against Tottenham, the goals have dried up for the superstar, and his lack of returns have contributed to Manchester United’s awful form, leaving them six points behind the leaders for fourth place, Spurs, despite having beaten the north Londoners twice this season.
It means that at present, Ronaldo is set to be striding out in the Europa Conference League next season , with the Red Devils currently in 7th place in the Premier League following their 1-0 defeat to Everton in their most recent clash.
