An insight into the stance of La Liga outfit Sevilla when it comes to the possibility of making Anthony Martial’s arrival permanent has been provided on Saturday afternoon.

French international Martial of course swapped Manchester for Andalusia during the January transfer window.

On the back of a difficult opening half to the campaign, culminating in just a pair of Premier League starts under the watch of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick combined, the former Monaco man opted to take his talents to Spain, joining the aforementioned Sevilla on loan through the summer.

And Martial’s time at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan has since proven altogether hit and miss.

The 26-year-old actually enjoyed a fine start to life in Spain, notching a goal and an assist across his first three appearances in Sevilla’s colours.

Red Devils return

So, what next for the struggling Manchester United loanee?

Well, as alluded to above, an insight into precisely that has been forthcoming on Saturday afternoon.

The info comes courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that, as things stand, it appears altogether unlikely that those in a position of power at Sevilla will seek out a permanent agreement for Martial come the summer.

This comes with negotiations yet to be opened between the Andalusians and their counterparts at Old Trafford, amid the absence of an option to buy in the terms of the versatile attacker’s loan agreement.

A final decision will ultimately be made upon the campaign’s conclusion, but Martial, save for a drastic shift in performance, is currently in line for a return to Manchester:
