Premier League giants Manchester United have, on Friday, shown their support for a former member of the club’s attacking ranks.
The player in question? Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez.
For those who may have missed it, hitman Hernandez was the recipient of some hugely disappointing news earlier today.
This came in the form of confirmation that a round of medical tests had unveiled a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the right knee of the Galaxy’s captain:
‘The LA Galaxy today announced that forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernández sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during the club’s 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal match against Real Salt Lake on June 7.’

Hernandez, in turn, will soon undergo surgery, before beginning the long road to recovery from one of football’s most feared injuries.
One of his former clubs, as a result, has tonight moved to provide their support to Hernandez.
In a direct message to the veteran attacker on Twitter, Manchester United – with whom Chicharito lined out from 2010 to 2014 – posted:
‘Wishing you the best in your recovery, @CH14_′
