Leicester City are closing in on the appointment of a new head coach, according to reports.
The powers that be at the King Power Stadium, of course, have been in the process of sourcing potential replacements for current head coach Dean Smith for some time now.
This comes after the ex-Norwich City boss failed in his efforts to guide Leicester to Premier League safety, on the back of his appointment in April.
A fresh start is therefore being readied, as the Foxes eye a swift return to the top-flight of English football.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then a leading candidate has not only emerged for the role, but his arrival now looks as good as imminent.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, along with a host of others, Leicester are close to appointing Enzo Maresca as the club’s new manager.
Should a deal, as expected, be struck, then the Italian will call time on his stint with Manchester City, fresh off celebrating yet another Premier League title as part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff.
