Liverpool legend Jame Carragher has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to send a message to the Manchester United faithful regarding the talents of Lisandro Martinez.
This, of course, comes fresh off a night to forget for not only stopper Martinez, but all associated with Man United.
Erik ten Hag’s troops made the trip to Anfield a short time ago, hopeful of building on successive League Cup and FA Cup successes over the course of the last week courtesy of a three-point haul at the expense of their fiercest rivals.
When all was said and done, however, to say that such efforts came up short would be something of an understatement.
Instead, in one of the most memorable outings in the recent history of English football, Manchester United ultimately emerged from Merseyside on the wrong side of a staggering 7-0 scoreline.

And, as alluded to above, one individual who was unsurprisingly keen to make the most of the eventual result on Sunday evening comes in the form of Jamie Carragher.
On the back of an evening to forget for the World Cup winner at Anfield, Carragher took to social media, to call for ‘apologies’ from those Manchester United supporters to have questioned his judgements on the beloved summer arrival at Old Trafford:
I’ll gladly accept the apologies off Yanited fans about Lisandro Martinez!
7-0 😂😂😂 #LIVMUN
