De Gea’s mistake gave rise to inevitable outrage across the Red Devils’ fanbase, amid fresh calls or the 32-year-old to be sent on his way come the summer.
If the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Ten Hag are anything to go by, however, then such demands look set to fall on deaf ears.
“We want him to stay and we want him to extend his contract,” the Dutchman explained.
