This means Rubén Sellés’ team are now winless in five, yielding just two points from these matches.
As a result, Southampton remain bottom of the table, four points adrift of safety.
Given that they still have to play four of the top eight, this fixture feels must win.
Crystal Palace are unbeaten in three visits to St Mary’s, seeking to win back-to-back trips to Hampshire for the first time since 1965.
