Euro 2024 qualifying hasn’t particularly gone to plan for either of these two nations, meaning both are hoping for better in the second half of the campaign.

On Friday, the Golden Lilies battled to an unconvincing 2-1 victory over Liechtenstein at Stadion Bilino polje, with captain Edin Džeko bagging his 64th international goal inside three minutes.
However, having lost three on the spin before this, Bosnia currently sit fourth in Group J, form that saw Faruk Hadžibegić sacked, with Meho Kodro having taken charge for the first time last week.
The Dragons have never qualified for a Euros and, if they’re going to change that via this group, they’ll probably need around ten points from their last five fixtures, thereby making this one must win.
Bosnia did win the reverse fixture 3-0 in Zenica, the first-ever meeting between these two nations, so can they repeat this success at Laugardalsvöllur?

Hörður Björgvin Magnússon’s red card in Luxembourg means he’ll miss this one suspended, while fellow-defender Sverrir Ingi Ingason is injured.
Midfielder Willum Þór Willumsson could return to the team though, having served a one-match ban of his own on Friday.
Burnley’s Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson will captain the side while Cardiff goalkeeper Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson, on loan from Arsenal, will win his 26th cap between the sticks.

Sheffield United centre-back Anel Ahmedhodžić is sidelined, so Sead Kolašinac started as part of a back three on Friday.
Veterans Miralem Pjanić and Edin Džeko remain Bosnia’s key players with this, surely, the last chance for both to lead their country to a maiden European Championships.
