Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have, on Sunday evening, been dealt a potentially serious blow on the personnel front.
For those not aware, Christophe Galtier’s troops are currently locked in action.
In the biggest fixture of the French football calendar, PSG have made the trip to Marseille, for the latest edition of the famed ‘Classique’.
And, as things stand in the clash, it is the visitors who are in firm control.
This comes owing to the brilliance of front two Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, who combined not once, but twice inside the opening half hour, to guide Galtier and co. into a deserved two-goal lead.

As alluded to above, though, an otherwise perfect night’s work to date for the French champions has been soured to a considerable degree by a fresh blow on the personnel front.
With just a quarter of an hour on the clock, Kimpembe, in efforts to prevent a Marseille breakaway, suddenly went to ground with what appeared to be a muscular problem.
After being tended to by the visitors’ medical team, it was subsequently decided that the French international was in no fit state to continue, stretchered from the field of play as a result.
Kimpembe, who looked in legitimate distress as he was carried back to the dressing room, therefore looks an immediate doubt to feature in PSG’s crunch Champions League Last-16 2nd-leg showdown with Bayern Munich in ten days’ time.
