Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, on Saturday evening, etched his name indellibly into the history books of the French heavyweights.
PSG and Mbappe, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
Fresh off a morale-boosting three-goal drubbing of Classique rivals Olympique Marseille last time out, Christophe Galtier’s troops welcomed Nantes to the Parc des Princes, looking to extend their advantage atop the Ligue 1 table ever further.
And, when all was said and done on a pulsating evening in France’s capital, this is precisely what the hosts went on to do.
After a quickfire double drew Nantes level at 2-2 late in the first-half, Danilo’s fine header put the champions back in front on the other side of the interval.

And this was how things remained all the way through to the 92nd-minute, when the evening’s headline moment was forthcoming by way of the aforementioned Mbappe.
Even more significant, though, was Mbappe surpassing Edinson Cavani, to secure sole ownership of the title of the top scorer in the storied history of Paris Saint-Germain.
