Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann has, on Friday evening, confirmed an ongoing personnel blow amongst his ranks.
The player set for a continued spell on the sidelines? Manuel Neuer.
Bayern are primed to return to action on Saturday afternoon, when they make the trip to Hoffenheim for a Bundesliga clash.
Boss Nagelsmann, in turn, held his latest press conference on Friday evening, with the subject of injury news having taken its place centre stage.
The German champions are already without a number of key performers at present, with Leroy Sane and Lucas Hernandez amongst those expected to sit out the weekend’s action at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

And joining such high-profile stars on the absentee list of late, as alluded to above, has been Manuel Neuer, too.
This comes after hope had spread that Neuer would return to the fray on Saturday, to replace Sven Ulreich between the posts once more.
This, however, will in fact not be the case.
Instead, Nagelsmann has confirmed that the German international has been ruled out of not only the latest round of Bundesliga fixtures, but, in all likelihood, Bayern’s Champions League showdown with Spanish giants Barcelona next Wednesday, too.
“Manuel Neuer won’t play,” the Bavarians’ boss announced. “He’s still feeling some pain. It’s looking like he will also miss the game against Barcelona.”
