After suffering U.S. Open Cup semi-final heartbreak last mid-week, will New York Red Bulls bounce back?

Last Wednesday, RBNY were aiming to reach a first Open Cup Final for six years, facing Orlando City at Exploria Stadium.

Lewis Morgan broke the deadlock in first half stoppage time, only for Orlando to equalise just seconds later.

Back in MLS, Gerhard Struber’s side are still one of the front runners to end the season with some silverware.

So, they remain third in the Eastern Conference, one of the front-runners to lift MLS Cup in November.

The same cannot be said of Colorado Rapids who are down in 12th in the west.

Robin Fraser’s team were beaten 2-1 by Seattle Sounders in their last outing, ending their three match unbeaten streak.

So, last season’s best of the west will need to vastly improve their form if they’re to sneak into the top seven.
