With group leaders Türkiye not in action on matchday six, both of these two sides know a victory in Yerevan would see them end the night top of the table.

This goal saw Armenia slip down to third in the group, really needing to make home advantage count here to keep pace with Group D’s big two.
Only once before have these two teams met, playing out a 1-1 draw in a behind-closed-doors friendly Velika Gorica in June 2021.

Captain and key centre-back Varazdat Haroyan was shown his third yellow card of the campaign in Eskişehir, meaning he will miss this clash due to suspension.
Armenia’s strengths though lie in attack, namely Grant-Leon Ranos and Lucas Zelarayán, both of whom bagged braces in June’s 4-2 demolition of Wales in Cardiff.
